We partner with The Hunting Report in making this service available to you. Coverage can be obtained on a weekly, monthly or annual basis for individuals, families and groups at surprisingly reasonable costs.

There are many providers of travel assistance, but the only company with field rescue coverage for sportsmen is Global Rescue. This company employs former Special Operations personnel from all branches of the US military, including Air Force Para-rescuemen and Special Forces operators.

No company takes its responsibility to its members as seriously as Global Rescue.

Global Rescue's promise is simple: We go get you anywhere in the world under 20,000 feet.
(Why the 20,000-foot limitation?     Because helicopters can not operate above that altitude, and the necessary acclimatization of rescue personnel would make it all but impossible to mount a rescue on foot in time to help a critically injured or ill climber. )

Everywhere else in the world, however, Global Rescue is prepared to act. The firm has spent huge sums lining up oil company helicopters in Africa, studying maintenance logs of charter companies in Southeast Asia.

Global Rescue can even arrange tandem-jump rescues in the middle of wilderness areas, or even the Atlantic Ocean. A tandem-jump involves a trained rescue jumper strapping himself to a doctor, or surgeon, and then jumping with him in tandem to reach an ill or injured person. The surgical supplies necessary to perform an operation can be dropped separately, laying the groundwork for a mid-ocean, life-saving appendectomy or intervention into a cardiac crisis in a remote area.

Global Rescue has a direct link to The Division of Special Operations (DSO) at Johns Hopkins, the same division of Johns Hopkins that provides medical support to the U.S. Secret Service and the people they protect.

Other medical evacuation services will help you only when you make it to a major city or have already managed to check yourself into a hospital. Not Global Rescue. They go get you wherever you are hurt or ill. No one should travel without this protection.
